9:22:00 AM They might be EGG
Man. I love podcasting. As my iPod churns through the library of podcasts I've got on my computer (4.5 gigabytes so far), I will come across a really really good "episode" of a show and get inspired to do a podcast. I'm sure that if more of you got into this whole podcasting thing that you too would feel the urge to respond through podcasting too. For now though I'm blogging :)
Drudge has begun beating the war drums for Iran. Now in my mind I've always imagined Iran being completely off limits simply because they probably have Nuclear capability, much like North Korea. As to the likelihood that we will turn it into Iraq part 2? Impossible to tell. Bush has basically said that even though there was absolutely no threat from Saddam that he felt justified invading Iraq and he would do it again, and well, 51% of the people here agreed with him so he's got "permission" to do it again, in his mind. So I don't feel like theres going to be any kind of effort to convince us that there is an imminent threat or anything here if Iran is to be a target, its just going to be like "Oh by the way we're fucking with Iran now, just FYI" and then we'll be in Iran. What's next, China? There is a compelling article about how it turns out to be cheaper to shoplift DVDs and CDs then to download copies of them online if you get caught. Perhaps when we "invade" Iran, this machine will be able to predict it before it happens. Apparently this thing is actually for real! Finally if you find all of this too depressing just engulf yourselves in entertainment... Perhaps the first season of Pete and Pete on DVD will tide you over while you await September 12th (just coined, its short for "the next September 11th") -- or perhaps you demand entertainment now and would enjoy They Might Be Giants' A B Cs video? That video is cute by the way. Watch it, maybe you'll forget all this crap that Drudge stirred up. Oh well.
